GREEN Communications is led by Andy Green, and Ian Green. Andy is a celebrated author on communications and an expert on creativity. Ian is an award-winning financial and business journalist and is an expert in media relations and social media.
They are supported by a team of excellent public relations account managers, executives and designers. They include:
Ian Green is a highly experienced journalist with more than 18 years regional and national newspaper experience. His career began on the Liverpool Daily Post and he has spent spells at The Observer, The Independent, Northern Echo and Yorkshire Post.
Ian was also launch editor of Insider magazine and a founding director of Venturedome.com. Amongst leading world figures he has interviewed are Bill Clinton, General Colin Powell, Sir John Harvey-Jones, Bill Gates, Sir Ken Morrison, the Duke of Westminster, Rudi Guiliani and the Krankies.
His career has taken him around the world, including visits to Argentina, Brazil, the Middle East, the US and most major European countries.
This high level media experience has given Ian a unique background from which to devise and deliver effective media relations campaigns. Ian is also a specialist in social media and emerging Web2.0 technologies.
A Fellow of the RSA, Ian is also a non-executive director of Bmedi@.

Andy Green is a world-leading creative marketing and public relations strategist and has won numerous industry awards for his public relations campaigns.
His status in the industry is reflected as an international speaker and author on creativity, communications and word-of-mouth marketing. Andy’s experience and expertise means that clients have access to one of the most dynamic thinkers in the UK who will help develop a communications strategy and, more importantly, the means to implement it.
Andy is author of several books on creativity and communications including 'Creativity in Public relations' noow in its fourth edition, 'Effective personal Communications', 'Overcoming Stupidity', and 'The Upturn: yoour part in its rise'.
Andy is a former Council member of the Direct Marketing Association North and is a former Chairman of the Institute of Public Relations Yorkshire Group. He is a former non-executive director of the Media Centre Network, and the Wakefield Theatre Trust, and a Trustee of the Global Environment Trust.
Andy is the winner of the ‘Urban Pioneer’ award at the first Urban Renaissance Awards and is a Visiting Fellow of Marketing at the University of Huddersfield.
Colin Glass is a Chartered Accountant with a real infectious passion for helping businesses develop to their full potential. As Chairman of GREEN you could say he's our very own Trouble-shooter.
With his hands-on, always there when you need him approach he has helped steer GREEN to its current success. And it's not just us who think he's great. Colin was recently awarded Business Advisor of the Year 2007 by the Institute of Directors Yorkshire and Humber.
Dan Phillips - as Client Services Director Dan is a key member of our team and has excellent marketing management and PR skills in both business-to-business and consumer markets.
Recognised as one of the industry’s leading Young Communicators by the Chartered Institute of Public Relations, Dan brings a wealth of experience to client accounts having worked across a range of sectors and specialties.
Working with clients as diverse as Warburtons, Euro Car Parts, Optima Legal, Partnership Investment Finance, the Professional Footballers Association, Netto Foodstores and ByBox, Dan offers a fully integrated approach to client’s accounts, providing best advice and practice to ensure results are maximized.
Thomas Atcheson has outstanding new media skills having worked at Orange plc launching and delivering a range of information based services across web, mobile, video and audio platforms.
A former news editor at radio station Home 107.9, Thomas has an eye for a story and the ability to write for different target audiences. A BJTC qualified journalist, he graduated from the University of Leeds’ respected broadcast journalism course.
As an Account Manager Thomas has experience of both B2B and B2C PR experience working in the IT, social housing, beauty and toy industries. This includes advising on product launches.
Kathy Burke is a graduate from the University of Leeds where she studied Politics & Sociology.
As an Account Exectuvie Kathy provides administrative and PR support to the rest of the team working for clients such as Warburtons, LINPAC Plastics, The Wensleydale Creamery, Partnership Investment Finance and Gamestec. Kathy is also responsible for a number of research projects on behalf of GREEN and our clients.
Prior to joining GREEN Kathy worked for the Yorkshire & Humber Regional Forum in the information and communication office.
